Sand & Dunes is to produce beautiful pieces for women and baby/kids. Keeping everything as ethically and environmentally friendly as possible, eliminating plastic and single use items where they can. We also believe in giving back to the community that are helping create sand and dunes so we are hoping to donate a percentage each month to a charity or people in need on the beautiful island of Bali and our homeland Australia.
What is your brand about?

My brand is very much inspired by a simple coastal life and of course the ocean. Wild but free, simple but beautiful. I also just love the colours of all the different sand and dunes along the coast. I want my brand to be as eco friendly as possible, ethical and I’ve always wanted to give back so every so often we pick a charity or group to donate $2 of every purchase too. At the moment we are donating to the earthquake tsunami victims in Sulawesi.

What made you start Sand and Dunes?

Having my Son, Atlas!
I actually never imagined myself to be on this kind of path in a million years prior but when I was pregnant I learnt how to sew and I got addicted to sewing him clothes and then myself. I would stay up sewing to like 3am some nights. I love it, I love creating things and seeing the final picture at the end. I always wanted to work from home aswell and do something where I could give back. That was always important to me.

What do you think would of been the trickiest part starting out?

Finances to get all the stock and to keep it rolling in. As well as getting your brand name out there can be really difficult.

What do you find is the most rewarding part of owning Sand and Dunes?

Ohh that’s so easy seeing customers in my stuff looking all cute. I mean it’s rewarding earning a bit of cash here and there to help my family since we only have one income, but actually seeing kids/adults in my stuff makes my heart literally so happy I always have to show anyone I’m near when I get tagged in something.
