Mummy's Sweet Secrets

This recipe book was part of an assignment I had in college, to create a publication. There was no brief given for the publication so I decided to compile my mom's recipes into one book. My Mother started baking as a hobby but soon it was pretty clear that baking came naturally to her. She would constantly be experimenting with different ingredients and methods while baking to create some mouth-watering dishes. The typography and layout of each recipe embraces this experimental nature and welcomes any changes openly.  The idea behind this book was not only to create a compilations of my mother's most popular recipes but also to try and capture the spirit of her cooking.
The cover of the book reveals very little about the book
and the typeface Delicate also contributes to the feeling of secrecy.
However on opening the book, it's a whole other story.
Thank you.
