Cabinet of Senses
Science and art are related to each other. However, many people believe that there is separation between science and art, even between science and everyday life. As a consequence, people lose their desire of knowing the world in a scientific way. In this project, I investigate the relationship between science and art and try to evoke people’s interests about scientific knowledge.
For the illustration, I used the idea of the ‘cabinet of curiosities’ to combine science and art. What I want to show to the audience is not specific scientific knowledge, but supply a trigger for curiosity. I want the audience to consider scientific knowledge in a new light, a light that offers them inspiration in the field of art.

作品研究的是如何用艺术的方式传达科学，激发大众对科学的兴趣和想象力。
我选择用“好奇柜”这个概念作为科学和艺术的结合点，它同时包含了科学的研究目的和对美感的考究，从收纳中体现了不同人在不同历史阶段的好奇心和对世界的探索。
我的创作灵感来源于人类感官。细胞把外界不同的刺激变成大脑可以理解的动作电位，大脑依此重建起外部世界，构成我们所认知的现实。
我的目的不是以视觉化传授某一块知识，而是给观众提供一个好奇的触发点、一个对科学知识的想象空间。告诉人们科学从不会毁灭想象，相反，会提供给艺术和生活无尽的灵感。
