  • From ancient times, Koreans believed that flowers have their own flower language, Kkot Mal. In that reason, most Korean traditional dresses (Hanbok), especially that of royal family, have embroidered flowers with different meanings. Using dark green, gold, and red to symbolize the royalty, 'KKOT MAL' was to incorporate traditional and modern views of Kkot Mal in Korea. This silkscreened dress was designed for Mary Anne Friel's Fabric Silkscreen Class.
