Suiboku-ga: ink painting

This is a collection of my Ink painting (suiboku-ga or sumi-e) done in Japan.
A long work is behind every final drawing, starting with a carbon/pencil sketch and finishing with practice with the ink and the brushes over and over.
The preparation of the ink with the use of the inkstick over the inkstone is producing a good smell that helps me to relax and concentrate.

Tools used:
Winsor and Newton Charcoal (for the sketch)
Natural inkstone
Inkstick
12 color for sumie
つばき (Camelie)
San Luca
This is the union of the view of my home town (Bologna in Italy) with the tradition of this Japanese technique.
Practice of nature
Following is a collection of images taken during the work and at the exposition in the Japanese town where I'm leaving now.
