I was asked to design a logo for Pooja Chowdhary, a biodiversity conservation communicator who was independently leading a project called “Whispers of Yore.” Given below is a short description of Pooja’s journey. “Most Himalayan communities revere ‘nature and wildlife’. Such communities have a repository of folklore, myths and legends built around this intrinsic relationship and transmitted across generations through the art of storytelling. However, the new age media has replaced this traditional art form, and senior citizens have been relegated to pray and ponder about the past. In many countries, this traditional form of communication has become less commonplace. “Whispers of Yore,” is a project that showcases these tales of yesteryears. The project explores the oral traditions of the Himalayas pertinent to conservation and aims to understand the nature-culture interfaces in the Himalayas.” – Pooja Chowdhary To read more please visit: http://poojachowdhary.com/
