This project was prompted by an assignment in my Design Principles II class. The focus was on repurposing materials into useful products in order to remove them from the waste-stream. 
My solution of an alternative scarf draws on my interest in prospective design and future fashions. My goal was to create a close-fitting garment that would provide warmth and protection but not create hazards and inconveniences by getting in the way of activities. The look was inspired by sci-fi and retro space fashions.
