From October 2017-April2018, I volunteered at the MacLaren Art Centre, working at numerous events and helping the collections staff with tasks such as inventory.
I gained experience working with the public, wrapping and handling artwork, and event planning.
For the annual art auction, I was part of the team that organized the event and I led my own team on the night (and leading up to it) in order to assure certain tasks were appointed and completed.
At the Benefactor's Art Exchange, I helped to wrap art and ensure the correct item went with its proper owner.
I was recognized as volunteer of the month, May 2018.
