The story of Kumpanya goes back to 2014, when we first found the images on an online auction website. What seem to be some old ephemeral photographs of 20’s at first glance, soon reveals itself to be much more. In 24 photographs, the viewer not only discovers the energy of a rural community of kids and their inclination to performing arts, but also an inspiring story of the same kids wanting to make a film. Taking this as a mission statement, KartonKitap attempts to make this dream come true and finish this film.
