AVI cutlery set / tableware design / digital rendering / background: hen motif tiles-purple edition
Cutlery that is inextricably linked to one of the most basic human needs, food, presents morphological features which, on the one hand, are a result of the ergonomics of the human hand and mouth and, on the other hand, “any small variation in their form suggests a different need that has been shaped by specific social conditions”. After a detailed research of materials, forms and their properties in cutlery manufacture, defined the design goals for the creative process I followed. It is determined from the start, that these objects will be used for any type of meal and concerns its long-term use. In addition, the function and the aesthetics should be in balance not exceeding the need they are intended to cover.
