A problem that horror film poster designs have is the inability to immediately recognize that the poster is advertising a horror film. The font size and image are main components that need to be easily identified as a horror film.

Forest of the Vanished used Trajan font in the movie poster because the type still is commonly used for horror film posters. The image incorporated is in black and white and has a dark feel to it which implies fears.
