Whale Push Toy

 

This toy was an experimentation in the process of bent lamination.  The fins, tail, spout, and body were all created with the same jig.  As you push the whale along, a cam moves the whale's spout up and down.  

Volcanic Platter

 

This carved basswood dish has three sections designed to serve food.  Inspired by outer space, volcanoes, and TV dinners, the platter fits to the contour of your lap.
