This Cherry block is a study of balance between solidity/heaviness and openness/lightness. Seemingly delicate and “chock full of holes” the geometry unexpectedly creates a strong structural system. The repetitive holes allows the piece to maintain a minimal attitude despite its apparent intricacy.
