ABOUT THE GAME
The WORLD CULTURES MEMORY GAME is a simple memory game that consists of25 different card sets that illustrate minority cultures around the world. Each pair consists of a man and woman from same ethnic group. The purpose of the game is to find highest number of matching pairs. The game is an education tool that encourages curiosity of the world in children. It shows and celebrates various cultures from all the continents. At the same time children can learn about geography and tolerance. Parents are encouraged to read short information on each ethnic group and be prepared to answer a ton of questions!

BACKGROUND
The data on the tempo of cultural extinction are terrifying. In the best case scenario, by the end of 21st century more than half of all the known languages would be no longer in use. Currently, every two weeks one elder dies. Together with him/her, one more language becomes extinct. One could ask why we should care about it. The meaning of it becomes clearer once we realize that language is a manifestation of the cultural values and knowledge. With every culture that dies, all the crafts, stories, life philosophies as well as thorough knowledge on local environment becomes forgotten, too.
