The EC90 XD is a full carbon fiber fork featuring a massive crown, tremendous legs, a tapered steer tube and best of all: disc brake mounts. This fork’s 460-gram weight makes it one of the lightest options on the market, and because of the oversize construction, it offers the best handling. Like the other products in Easton’s premium EC90 line, the XD features full carbon construction, Internal Thread Technology™, R.A.D. Steerer™ and Taperwall™. This fork also has an integrated cable routing to keep your disc brake-equipped ‘cross bike looking sleek.
The design challenge is to create a wide cross section profile of legs to maximize rigidity. A subtle tapered on the legs creates a slimmer look and feel. Spread distance between them is designed to clear a full range of cyclo-cross bike tires with a 47mm diameters. Both a gloss white and matte black versions were offered at launch to match majority common frame colors.
