Carmona Convent rehabilitation

A heritage reflexion, new uses for Carmona San Francisco convent.

This is an unused ruin now our days and my proposal establish a way of thinking through the contemporary culture way of living in comparative with a religious life. At the beginning is a review of the "community-based-development" citing movies such as "American beauty" or Edward Scissorhands. Also many actions in arts and architecture are cited to create a toolbox for working. The living time of the build as a time-use machine is cited too in this text and represented.

I propose a simulation of uses: if all is collapsed the conditions has changed, we must propose new game rules.

"The society has a memory, a past; that historical concept strengthens the foundation for contemporary. The true value of heritage, isn´t what we has inherit generously. Is what we can contribute generously".

Then i propose a diagrammatic representation of mixed uses and spaces deconstructing and reinterpreting the visual meaning of the physic support.
I understand heritage intervention as a surprise, a contribute with new uses to the citizens over an ancient support. (some examples are shown like plots recovering in Zaragoza city).

How insert a sign or an small gesture in the forgotten emptiness to activate it is the final result of the formal proposal.
