This reinterpretation of Georgia O'Keeffe's painting was inspired by a need to illustrate the separate paths taken by my family and I. My father, mother, brother and I are all on a seperate journey now. My father built his retirement home in Dominican Republic, my mother is selling our home to move south, and my brother enlisted in the army and is now stationed in South Korea. This piece was commissioned by my father and it will live in his new home. It serves as a reminder of our individual paths and also marks his home as a place where we may all reunite again.
