HOOK WITH HINGE MECHANISM DESIGNED FOR ALUMINIUM EXTRUSION AND PROTOTYPED WITH ABS PLASTIC USING A 3D PRINTER 


RESEARCH BOARDS
Research done on designs suitable for aluminium extrusions, hook mechanisms, creative hooks and hooks that can fold down and away communicated through precedent boards.


CORELDRAW DRAWING
Final design settled on scanned and entered into CorelDraw. Using the hand sketch, a sketch was done on coreldraw to get accurate measurements, tolerances and design specifications.


SOLIDWORKS SKETCH
The sketch from CorelDraw is entered into the CAD program SolidWorks. A second sketch was done over the first to confirm measurements, tolerances and design specifications. The two-part product is then extruded.
