I took inspiration from the title and content of the book which is about Elie Wiesel's terrifying story of his experience in a Nazi concentration camp. My idea was that his life took a dark turn because of the Nazi's; which is why he named the book Night, and so the swastika symbolizes the moon. The nightly being that rules over the night and in this context ruled over Elie Wiesel's life.
