Life in a military family; the definition of life changes. You don’t know what news the radio is about to bombard you with. You don’t know if the letters sent to the soldier will be answered or not… and most of all you do not know whether the phone in the corner of your room will ever ring or not…if yes, would it be from the hero himself or someone giving you some ill-fated news. You keep waiting for any response and the wait kills you.
My project revolves around the pain of uncertainty, the pain of waiting. It is a narrative of life we as a family faced during the 80’s 90’s when my father was posted at uncertain destinations.
