I was commissioned to design a mural in Vancouver's Kitsilano neighbourhood. The brief was to represent Kits, to involve the community, and to incorporate Evo’s Pantone blue and black. My design speaks to its location in Kitsilano, featuring the iconic view of the sunset from Kits Beach through the framing device of the word ‘Kits,’ while also engaging the community. I also designed the mural to be executed by many hands. The mural was completed on schedule in four days, rain and shine, with the help of a team of more than twenty volunteers at the end of September 2017. The timelapse of the mural's creation is courtesy of Evo Car Share.
Created for BC Culture Days, Evo Car Share, and the City of Vancouver in September 2017. You can find the mural by Kitsilano's Nook Restaurant, just west of Yew Street in the lane south of Cornwall Avenue in Vancouver, BC.
