Statement
My close relationship with textiles and jewelry, both traditionally hand based crafts, urged me to amalgamate them, adding a new perspective to jewelry which primarily preconceived as metal based only. These crafts create an ideal bond celebrating the rich heritage of this region, within which, I have picked various types of traditional embroideries that bring forth a trail of never-ending associations. I have created a range of contemporary jewelry pieces, wearable and non-wearable and for this, I used unconventional materials to create a dialogue about the evolution of both the crafts separately and in union.
