language barriers
I went on a trip with my mom to Vietnam over the summer, and while it was one of the best travel experiences i've had the pleasure of being on, there were some things that couldn't be ignored— like the language barrier.
growing up, I picked up Vietnamese through listening and context clues. I never learned how to read or write it, much less carry out a conversation for more than 5 minutes.
the scenery was beautiful so, of course, I had to take pictures.
