This digital portrait piece ties in with ideas of control, the utilization of "the culture/blackness" as a vessel for messaging, and the idolization of an "ideal" society in which true free thought, good faith dialogue, and identity are bastardized by ignorance, narcissism, historical revisionism, and an arrogant obsession with delusions of grandeur. Additionally, I created this work with color references to the Pantone Color of the Year palettes, as well as some visual references to the Japanese Manga/Anime Series, "Naruto Shippuden" to further the aforementioned ideas behind the piece.
