Storytelling with Icons is a project created for a Mapping Information course at RISD. The objective was to design an accordion book or poster that uses minimal text to show 3 Trips starting from our college housing address. We showed one trip to where the class was held, one trip to our homes inside the US, and one trip to a city of our choice anywhere in the world. My goal was to show each trip in as much detail as possible while still keeping the overall design simple, understandable, and legible. For each trip, I showed how much time each portion took, I showed specific interactions, and what digital media was involved in the process. Each trip also has it's own specifics like how many trees I walked past or which streets I took or even which books I read.
