For this project we were tasked with creating an eco-friendly recyclable piece of children's furniture. As children grow the utilities and tools they require are often outgrown and left as unrecyclable or difficult to re-purpose. Thus the solution is to create unique load bearing furniture items from cardboard which are recyclable.

Pictured left is the initial development model which was flawed by the positioning of the toy insertion holes along with the main opening. The right photo is the final model with the reordered ports along with minimal graphic styling.

The final prototype refined dimensions and reordered ports not only allow for easier user interaction as depicted in the 1:1 scale illustrations but for the accommodation of various development phase toy sizes to be inserted and stored.
