As a part of AIGA’s Changemaker series for 2017, four other volunteers and I were paired with Seattle Muses Conscious Fashion Studio, a non-profit that trains recent immigrants and refugees to work in the garment industry, and educates students and the wider Seattle community about workers’ rights and sustainable fashion. After considerable research, the team determined that while the founders or Muses had incredible vision for their organization, as a newer non-profit (established in 2012) Muses lacked sufficient materials to spread the word about their work, and gather individual donations. Together with the project manager and content manager in my team, I designed materials that would be cost-effective to print, and versatile enough to be useful for individual donors, corporate donors, and general informational purposes.
