In this project, I had to create a social issue ad as well a brochure. Here I decided to go with the topic of diabetes. What I wanted to do on this ad and brochure was to make not just an awareness, but a informative brochure about the difference between type 1 and
type 2 diabetes.

I went to manipulate the candy heart to have a skull and crossbones on it. I got this idea by looking at some examples online on how they made sweets like ice cream look deadly despite so tasty. I also did some leveling and color balancing to make the skull and crossbones look natural onto it. After doing that, I went into illustrator to make the actual ad as well play with the the background colors. I wanted to make it look all nice and joyful like its from some candy store, but then I need to make it look deceiving. Once completed, I went into Indesign to create the brochure.

I finally placed the brochure into a mock-up.
