Its spring time and the Bald Eagles are nesting.  At this point they have mated with their partners and occupied their nest, laid their eggs and are busy covering them.  It is hard to explain how big these nests are in reality.  I estimate the nest in this picture is probably six or seven feet wide.  It is massive and this Eagle was patiently sitting waiting to trade off with it's mate who is out hunting.
