With another "ALIEN Day" (April 26th) coming up this year, I've decided to homage the brilliant character design of the famous ALIEN (originally created by the late H. R. Giger for the 1979 film).
The development proccess, from the initial ink sketch up to the digital shading and painting. I opted to cut off the background and give more space to the main character, but you can take a look on how the illumination would turn out with a colored background, too.
Last year, I have also worked on a "fan art" illustration made especially for the "ALIEN Day",
