The Youth (in) Culture Illustrations
The Youth (in) Culture project brings together BLOK, a curator collective, artists and students in the production of participative art and is aimed at the students of grammar and vocational schools in Croatia. Fewer than 10% of young people in Croatia attend cultural programs regularly, as a result of the decline of cultural infrastructure, especially in rural areas, paired with the inadequate representation of art education in both vocational and grammar schools.
The project implemented temporary filmmaking, design and street art courses/workshops in three high schools. The aim of the courses was to teach the students about critical thinking, creativity and the process of making an artwork, while stressing the importance of art in broader social processes.

The goal for my illustrations was to be appealing to the students, while clearly communicating the project's agenda.
