Street Portraits from London and New York
I like to use todays technology to make pictures that would have been impossible just a few years ago, digital cameras, wireless triggers and small high powered strobes allow me to stop a stranger in the street and make a lit portrait in the time it used to take to process a polaroid. I like the message behind the idea of plucking someone from the crowded street and photographing them in a way that elevates them, makes them an icon, a hero, a celebrity for a few moments......everyone is important.
