ZEE

Zee is an auto-sufficient mechanism to fertilize plants naturally
and comfortably in the city environment.
“Product based on insects which improves
the productivity and service life of an urban crop.
The main aim in this challenge was Biomimicry, which meant nature should
serve as inspiration for this project, in the physical appearance
of the product as well as in the internal mechanism.
The prime influence was the Nepenthaceae family of carnivorous plants. Their slim structure combined with a slippery surface in the inner wall of the plant makes it easier for insects to fall in and not be able to climb back up, feeding the plants nutritious needs.
The aim of Zee is to become a standard on the daily routine of taking care
of your urban crops thanks to its hability to extract the nutrients and nitrogen
we can find on insects and releasing them to the plant gradually.
