A tip of the hat to Aaron Draplin. Someone I have a lot of respect for as a graphic designer and teacher. I've obviously never met him but I follow his work, talks & SkillShare lessons. It was a brain reformatting way of getting to the end result. I've never duplicated the last design. I just used that base and designed over it. I'm never happy with the previous version so "why do I need to see it on my pasteboard". Essentially moved on to the next version and trashed the legwork.

This started off as a simple workflow test for the Astute Illustrator free plugin.Specifically how to find that perfect connection point with another shape perfectly. The first image is the result. A triangle merged with a circle. I usually used the Pathfinder for this kind of thing and was "content" with the result.

Of course the world doesn't give a shit if the line is not dead centre/ symmetrical. BUT, designers do. It matters.

So, it's basically design play. The plan was to test the plugin. Not to develop a possible ice cream truck logo.
