‘Say No to Compulsory Consumption’ is an awareness campaign that promotes the practice of better spending and consumption habits. A series of illustrations, gifs and posters were created as part of the designed campaign.
The project explores the relationship between promotional advertising in retail environments and its effect on consumer purchase behaviour.
The campaign plays with changing and flipping popular advertising language through humorous and satirical illustrations in response to marketing and mass consumption. This in turn, has the influence to distort peoples’ perceptions and attitudes towards current trends of consumer culture.
