This project was created under the frame of "La Velada Diseño & Innovación Social 2011 - Rio Nima", which took place on May of 2011. This event sought to promote opportunities for discussion and design project management-oriented to improve the quality of life in communities belonging to the base of the pyramid.
"Amdamdo Nima", the project, intents to promote the self-recognition of cultural identity.

Context. Río Nima is a community located on the banks of the Níma river, a community of african descent, displaced from the Colombian Pacific. As a small comunity in a place where they are not originally from, is vulnerable to lose their own traditional cultural identity.
Project. A map that shows the goods and services created by the community, to make them recognized, evidence their values and to encourage their production even to be sold in other places, made by themselves in co-design.
Desing Role. Facilitating the creation of the map in working with the community and ensure that this can be developed autonomously maintaining this as a resource that guaranties the recognition of their own values.
