Illustrations for a children's bilingual book. The brief was to illustrate books that would be widely available in India at very affordable prices. The imagery had to be contextually relevant and sensitive. My personal question during this first ever book illustration project was this :
How can an illustrator supplement the authors vision by creating imagery that is representative but not limiting and thereby author a subtle secondary narrative?
