Federal Realty Investment Trust
MicroTile Wall

-
Designed and built by Materials & Methods, this gesturally interactive video wall was created for Federal Realty Investment Trust. The installation was intended to stop visitors in their tracks by appearing at first glance be a wood-paneled wall. It Then unsuspectingly transformed into a fully interactive canvas when approached by visitors. The wall then delivers an interactive presentation of one of the developer’s newest mixed-use retail projects, “Assembly Row.” This installation was enable by a combination of Christie’s ultra high-resolution Microtiles, 3D gestural camera, and powered by the robust RealMotion TM interactive server. Visitors were able to navigate a map of the development and look through a virtual window into an almost life-sized depiction of the development’s colorful, urban streetscapes.
