A House for a Dancer

"A House for a Dancer" was a semester-long project starting with a simple line drawing. The project went through three main stages, the first being "1000 Lines", which was a structure based off the original line drawing. The second stage was "A Space for a Dance", which was a planar structure in 1/2" scale intended to hold a dance. "A House for a Dancer", the final project for Design Principles of Fall 2012, was the third stage of the semester long project built in 1/4" scale with the intended user being a dancer. This stage of the project can be seen as the taming of what once was an disordered and uncontrolled form.
