Developed from the cover design of an early 20th Century French Larousse. I loved the lines, swirls and flourishes of the cloud-like background and just had to turn it into a repeat pattern! It reminds me of watching the waves rolling in while standing on the shoreline of the costal town I grew up in. The colours work really well in modern dark interiors and the way it’s been repeated makes it fit really well with both tribal and retro styles, as well as nature-inspired and romantic floral themes.
