As a professional photographer, but also as an interested spirit regarding new places and its people, it is always a pleasure to work with the Pato’s Wines. Above all, with Luís Pato — a man with hands drawn by time and endurance, a perfectionist at his core, who puts everything that he is into what he does.

Years and years passed, the endless desire to know more and listen to what this extraordinary man and family have to say is subsisted by this journey between places that breathes life, perseverance and love; by a family that, over the years, has grown.

I feel an absolute privileged to be able to witness this evolution. More importantly, to show, through photography, the urge, the simplicity and the creativity that this family builds up. With tradition and love for what one does, the final product can only be of excellence.

At the end of last year, I was contacted by VINUM magazine, to accompany the author of the brief interview, by the world of Luís Pato and his qualities as a winegrower. Each visit is a novelty, a challenge, an experience, even for those who only explore through photography, the storytelling of a lifetime of generations.
