At the beginning I just make a rough sketch of the shape of the sock.

When it's done, I make contours and filling with my favourite thich black marker. I found the words which are usually associated with maternity and children and wrote them inside a shape.

I scan the image with my Brother DCP 7057-R and vectorise the drawing in Inkscape.

I also add colours and background.

The design is great for baby shower invitations, cards and nursery wall art.
