From the west-facing second story window of my apartment in Providence, RI, I captured the colors of the magnificent, nightly sunsets. These are studies completed in under an hour using watercolor and water-soluble crayons on scrap pieces of wood. The wood grain served as inspiration for these pieces, lending its natural sweeping and swaying motion to the static sky scenes.
