Christmas Themed Visitor Activity Trail
This Christmas themed activity trail for visitors was aimed at promoting The Donkey Sanctuaries Adopt a Donkey offering on-site at the Charities Headquarters in Devon. The project's objectives were to:
a. promote the idea of visitors supporting the charity by adopting when they visit,
b. create a unique reason to visit the sanctuary site during a period when footfall is traditionally low and
c. increase dwell time onsite to enhance the visitor experience and encourage the use of the sites new restaurant facilities.

Traditional Christmas icons were given a donkey twist and produced as large printed and router cut wooden shapes. These were displayed around the sanctuary creating a trail for visitors to follow in order find each of the 12 donkeys of Christmas. Supported by a simple but colourful trail sheet, children completing the trail were rewarded with a Christmas themed chocolate, and plenty of photo opportunities with their donkey friends.
The activity was promoted on and offsite by traditional print and digital web banner advertising, as well as posters, flyers and banners.
