I have always believed that our notion of time is a completely human construct; we only know time as something that is calculable. For this assignment, I was inspired by Stephen Hawking’s A Brief History of Time and created a small book titled A Brief History of Time (keeping). I documented different ways in which humans have recorded time throughout history. I created the drawings on Adobe Illustrator, and the layout of the book on Adobe Indesign. The book is folded in the concertina style, hand sewn, with stacked pages.
