WordPress website for structural engineer

After years without an online presence, McHale Engineering wanted an easy-to-update website to meet three key objectives: showcase a structural engineering portfolio filled with beautiful photos; describe the firm’s differentiation in regards to its engineering and design services; and appeal to a variety of audiences, including homeowners, architects, commercial builders, and contractors. And, since so many potential customers are on the go, the site needed to be optimized for mobile devices.

The Scott Design team designed and built the site in WordPress — and then trained McHale Engineering reps to update the site themselves. The clean, modern look follows responsive web design, so content is optimized for all users on all devices, including tablets and smartphones. Site visitors can quickly scroll through the home page to understand the McHale Engineering story, and then easily dive deeper to view case studies.

Scott Design recommended the addition of a blog so the firm would be encouraged to create thought-leadership content on a regular basis. Site users can easily engage with the photo-rich content and understand the value of the services of the structural engineering firm. To support SEO, Scott Design copyedited the content and made sure all images use tags with keywords targeting the company’s audiences.
