Diet Plan Infographics
With a personal interest in the methods people utilize to improve their health, I created a colorful food icon set and used it to explain different diet plans in poster form. I envision these posters both in print, maybe to be hung at a nutritionists office, and digital, found on a "New Year, New Me" Pinterest board.
Originally, I was focused on creating an icon set that visualized sources of protein and could be adapted with motion graphics. However, I found this route to be too limiting. I wanted to expand the use of the icons and their audience reach.
The icon set I created used bright colors and adapted geometric shapes to create fun and approachable imagery. Much of the visual information offered about diet plans can either be too much/ too overwhelming or a bit tough and macho. I wanted a system that was accessible and easily understood. Most of my iterating was done on illustrator.
