don.com Video Page CMS Extension
When: 1st Quarter 2018
For: Edward Don & Company
Problem: The Marketing department would like to add pages on don.com for their YouTube videos.
Solution: Add CMS widgets and pages to help automate the process for building a video page and make sure content is SEO.
Process: I designed the page and determined what components needed new widgets and which could be made with existing options. Another developer coded the back-end and worked with the CMS to make everything. During that process certain limitations were brought to light and we adjusted the project accordingly. I coded the front-end.
Deliverables: CMS widgets to add YouTube videos, link video pages, and display items, and a CMS page preconfigured with widgets.
