Kim Barry's profile

20th Century Sculpture Series

The industrial and nuclear ages of the 20th Century and its growth, singularly focused monetary drive, exploitation based power, cannibalistic self destruction, now rusted economic policies are the platform of discussion in this new series- 20th Century. There is so much change in the 21st century towards global humanization, good economic solutions for a healthy society and planet, and a new found respect for the individual imagination and do it yourself mentality of the virtual age. People are creating their own reality, connection with one another, and happiness every day. I believe the 20th Century's value of things over the value of each other is shifting. This series attempts to lay to rest and remember the 20th Century as a marker towards a better age we live in now, not an idea to carry on as tradition. It doesn't fit anymore not that it ever did for most. Enjoy the pieces below. For more work, click here www.kimbarrystudio.com
