Chaco– Design Brief
As a part of the hiring process for Chaco, I was asked to design a sandal webbing based off of my own "style." When approaching this design brief, I thought about my style both in the way I present myself and also the way I approach my own work.
In both respects, I came to a design that presented itself as serious and controlled with areas of humor and surprise that were occasionally revealed. I thought of these areas as moments of "exposed skin" that did not take itself too seriously amongst the black tonal background.
